Duluth Appliance Repair Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Duluth Appliance Repair, referred to as “the Company,” to its customers. By engaging the Company’s services, you agree to the following terms:.

1. Services Provided

  • The Company specializes in diagnosing and repairing home appliances.
  • All services are performed by independent contractors (“Technicians”) who are 1099 subcontractors of the Company.

2. Service Requests

  • Customers must provide accurate information regarding the appliance type, make, model, and issue.
  • Service appointments are subject to technician availability.
  • Emergency or same-day services may incur additional fees, which will be disclosed upfront.

3. Estimates and Fees

  • An initial diagnostic fee is charged for all service calls. This fee will be disclosed before scheduling.
  • If needed, a repair estimate will be provided after diagnosis. Work will commence only upon customer approval.
  • Prices are subject to applicable taxes and may include parts, labor, and additional service charges.

4. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is due upon service completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • If a return trip is required (may include ordering parts) a deposit of 50% of the repair estimate is required to schedule repair.
  • Accepted payment methods: Credit card, checks, electronic payments.
  • Late payments may incur additional fees.

5. Independent Contractors

  • Technicians performing the services are independent contractors. They are not employees of the Company.
  • The Company is not liable for any actions or omissions by Technicians outside the scope of the agreed service.

6. Warranties

  • Repair services are warranted for a period of 30 days from the service date. This warranty covers labor and replaced parts only.
  • Warranty claims require proof of service and must be reported within the warranty period.

7. Limitations of Liability

  • The Company is not responsible for pre-existing damages or issues unrelated to the repair.
  • Liability is limited to the cost of the repair services provided.
  • The Company is not liable for delays caused by unavailability of parts or unforeseen circumstances.

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must ensure the appliance is accessible and connected to a safe power source.
  • The Company is not responsible for damages arising from unsafe or unprepared work areas.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
  • The Company reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes arising from these terms or the services provided will be resolved through arbitration/mediation in Duluth, MN.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Company website or other communication.
 

By scheduling a service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
